My festive spirit this year is the fabulous Lagavulin Distiller’s Edition. It’s matured in Pedro Ximenez (PX) casks but still has the great smokey flavours of the classic Lagavulin. It’s a bit like the Bruichladdich PX I had last Christmas but much better (in my humble opinion!).

Mine, however, was a top 5. And I’m sure if I had access to a bottle of this Lagavulin, it’d be close to the top!

Cheers Nick, I’ll take a look – Lagavulin 16 is in my list of all time favourites, so I couldn’t wait to have a try of this one and it’s well worth the price (and cheaper than the Bruichladdic)
